How your money helps

£3 can cover medical costs for a child for 1 year.
£6 buys 2 baby rabbits for a child to start breeding for sale and for food.
£15 would provide a uniform and school materials for a secondary school pupil.
£30 offers food support to a child for a year.
£140 would give 4 disabled children the opportunity to have primary schooling.

Moneymakers

Whether it’s a coffee morning, a sponsored activity, a piano recital, or an auction, there’s no limit to the type of event that can raise money and awareness to make a difference in the lives of children at risk. We encourage our supporters to do whatever comes naturally to them.

Christine invited friends round for her Birthday and asked for donations to BCT instead of Birthday gifts. Kiaya did a sponsored silence. Emily and her family put a coin in a box every time they ate a mincepie or biscuit over Christmas.

Money Making Stories

Supporters at Ben Nevis summitBen Nevis Challenge
In May 2009 18 intrepid BCT supporters climbed to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain summit in the UK. Low cloud, high winds and snow greeted them at the top, but they were still smiling, knowing that their efforts were raising money for vulnerable children. An amazing total of £26,500 was raised. A big thanks to everyone who climbed or sponsored.

Bonners school displayBonners Primary School Cocoa Evening
Pupils at Bonners Primary School in East Sussex are supporting BCT this year. For their first fundraising event they came to school in their pyjamas for an evening, sipped on hot chocolate, munched biscuits and listened to their teachers reading stories. They made donations and raised £72!
